It's my last day today. Thank you.

A few people know this already, but things are changing in ONA, and my job won't be needed after November 19th. I have known since late August, but to those who haven't already heard, my last day is November 18th. I have enjoyed my time working in the Open and Affirming Coalition and around UCC National. I have met many people who I consider friends and learned, grew, and healed being in UCC spaces these past four years. This has been the safest space I have worked at, and I hope that I can return here in the future. I will miss you all and I feel the UCC as a whole, national and affiliates, have a bright future ahead of it.

On the precipice of returning to regular social interaction, roughing the edges. On the hope of the morning sun, hiding from warmth of the sun on my face. Somewhere, the heart is still beating.

Hope without action is like a cake platter without cake. 

Hope can be hard sometimes, but having it at any level is better than not having it at all.

Everyone is a candle. Everyone has light within them that when lit, will show and bring peace. But not everyone has the same wick length, and need their lights protected from the surrounding darkness.
